About Rob Wyn Yates

As the German Renaissance artist Albrecht Dürer once said, “Geometry is the foundation of all painting”. This rings especially true for Rob Wyn Yates, who after leaving Chelsea College of Art has created acrylic paintings that achieve a spatial realism, using shape and colour with form, to convey three-dimensions. It’s not all about the painting though; Wyn Yates sources antique frames that are incorporated within the artwork, to give them a universal appeal, adding definition to both minimalist interiors and period properties with a rare effortlessness.

Wyn Yates has exhibited his pieces widely & also works on commissions for the big screen, most recently On ‘Chesil Beach’ starring Golden Globe winner Saoirse Ronan, 'Bohemian Rhapsody' featuring Rami Malek and ‘The Children Act’ featuring powerhouse duo Emma Thompson and Stanley Tucci.
